Do you agree that university semesters come in repetitive vicious cycles?
First, it is registration of modules, and going through the stupid bidding system termed CORS (also known as Chronic Obligatory Registration System/Syndrome), where you get yourself frustrated over modules that are interesting but hot (as in popular but not 1000°C) and got outbidded and blah blah blah.
Second begins the lecture series, followed by tutorials, and all projects start bombarding into your tight schedule. Yes, bombard is the suitable word to use in this context.
For Hall people, and those who are required to actively participate in CCAs to compete for a place to stay on campus, CCAs start coming into the picture too.
For students whose modules include Laboratory sessions, yes, the thrill of lab reports will add some spice to your life too.
Then, right before or after the pathetic 4-weekday mid Semester break (they are finally smart enough to change it to a full week break) , students are bombarded with all kinds of assessments, CAs, blah blah blah.
Then, reading week, and exams.
Exams.
Arghox.
Yep, this is the vicious cycle of a typical NUS Semester. How fun?
