Have been a nerd since last weekend, hiding in the library practically almost everyday throughout its opening hours. Mysteriously, productivity has been low. Just as my surname suggests.
Just wondered if I really could live up to my dreams in the end. Just wondered can I really pull through everything, after all these while. The results do not seem to reflect the amount of effort being invested in. Got refracted perhaps. Maybe I need to examine the refractive index first every time before I start preparing for the battle. Second Upper. Now, how far away am I from that? Am I asking a lot?
Every time when I enjoy myself in the freeze of tranquility of the library, I start to miss Europe again. With special reference to Konstanz, Switzerland and Austria. Really missed the times I had with my new found friends, with most of whom I am still keeping in touch now. When can I see them again? I could until now still vividly remember the scene when Florian, Sinem, Anna and Murod sent me off from Konstanz Hbf. That moment is undoubtedly the slowest moment in Europe.
Fate brought us together for 5 months. Will fate bring us together again sometime, somewhere?
Perhaps, sometimes it requires input of extra effort to put together the bits and pieces of fate. This is in accordance to the Law of Thermodynamics, where
ΔG = ΔH - TΔS
where ΔG = Gibbs' Free Energy of Fate
ΔH = Enthalpy change of Fate
ΔS = Entropy change of Fate
Under certain conditions, e.g. when the temperature of the surroundings is low, or the volume of currency in the wallet is infinitesimally small that the entropy is highly negative, the Gibbs' Free Energy of Fate becomes positive, and the reaction is no longer spontaneous.
In such cases, input of external energy is needed to drive the reaction forward. There are a few possibilities:
1. Increase the volume of the currency in the wallet, such that the entropy becomes highly positive.
2. Utilizing catalysts, (homogenous or heterogenous does not matter) to provide an alternative pathway of a lower ΔH to the reaction.
3. Increase the temperature of the surrounding and HOPE for occurence of self-assembly.
I so so so miss them. |
