People of the older generation has been constantly advising me against going back to my home country owing to its current uncertainties in its political situation. Such situation is of course taking the accompanying toll on the economy and for each year the country stays in such a standstill, the country would require at least 10 years to recover to the current level. And that's not even talking about moving further so to say.
I think if there's only to be one cause for a country to rot, that has to be corruption. It has been proven in the history from time to time how disastrous rampant corruption can bring to lead towards the downfall of a country or dynasty.
I have been staying out of the country for the last 8 years, but doing this has been directly affecting my feelings I have towards the country I belong to. And as uncertainties and chaos looms, I just wished I could lend a helping hand and contribute to the society as a loving citizen. But I nevertheless feel completely helpless. For one, my personality is definitely not suitable to venture into this, and it just hurts seeing the place that you love slowly moving backwards after a few decades of miraculous developments.
Where has our Vision 2020 gone to? Now, is money and power really so important, such that the interest of an entire nation could be so much affected just by the conflicts and struggle for personal interests among the veterans who are the expert in playing with these two commodities?
