Contemplation: Status of the Blog
Currently the status of this blog is open to the public: Whoever wants to read my entries can read all of them.

I have long realized the risks this poses to my privacy. By keeping it open, I have to keep my entries generally politically correct so as to avoid any unwanted open confrontations.

But recent emotional turmoils have led me to reconsider this option over and over again. I know that this blog of mine isn't that great anyway and I wonder how many of those who knows the existence of my blog actually reads this faithfully. If you really do, I truly appreciate that. As sometimes certain comments might not be appropriate for certain audiences to read through, I am now considering 2 options:

1. Switch the status of this blog to "Invited readers only". The downside of this blog is that I have to register every single intended readers and those who have since a while ago not keeping up with my posts would not comprehend what happened.

2. Open up a private blog somewhere else. And maintain them concurrently. Well actually I do have another blog somewhere but haha... there's no way anyone would know. And trying this blog made me learnt that it is difficult to maintain more than one blog actually.

Suggestions? Feel free to drop a word. So I can roughly know who are the faithful readers too. :D

um depends on why u want a blog in the first place. usually its coz of some exhibitionist streak in all of us haha. but if its just to keep in touch wiht certain ppl can always make it invited. but the thing i feel abt having a blog is that in some point in time, u usually wanna pen down stuff related to some of your readers so even invited will pose the same issue

And again, there's always the option to have ur most private posts on a word doc =P

haha. blogger cannot password protect posts right.. i also want that function leh..

most private posts on a word doc? How? But that won't make any difference if I only wish for selective audiences right?

Maybe I'll write to Blogger.com to ask them to consider adding that password protect post function.
