A: (After 10 seconds, looking at me in a mysterious way) Err... that's a weird question to ask.
Me: Huh... how weird is that?
A: Well... (looking at me in a sarcastic way) you asked why am I not going out. Isn't that weird?
Me: I just asked whether you are going out or not, didn't say why.
A: (That usual look when he becomes suspicious, or has made his own conclusion about something) It's still weird asking people such questions. And for your info, I am going out now.

Question to the floor: Was my question offensive? Someone please enlighten me. Honestly, please.
HAHA. I get irked sometimes when my dad asks me something like that. But that's cos when I go out, he will nag and say that I'm going out too often and when I'm at home, he'd ask "Not going out ah?" which is damn annoying cos it's like I can't do anything right. But in your case, A was just acting weird lah. I don't find that offensive at all. A "I wanna rot at home" answer would have sufficed. =) *pats pats*
whats the problem with A?
such a simple question also find it weird.
and yes, u didnt ask why, u only ask whether is A going out.
whats so offensive about that?
you are perfectly ok, trust me, the problem doesnt lie on you :)
