250th Post
What shall I put to commemorate my 250th post here hmm.... Have been trying out the various features on my new Alice and so was thinking of sharing it. Hope you like them. If you dont, nevermind. (haha dingying dun kill me.) I know my photographic skills suck (cos i m not trained), but I am trying hard. Do give suggestions on how I can improve okay? Got a pretty good deal for a reasonably good camera. Time to pick up some new skills. 不学白不学。Luckily Pacey has been teaching me a bit at a time... hehe Reaching the top

How small are we in this world?

Ding Ying: Haha thanks for all the comments! Not angry at all la... i know i suck. haha.. hmm i forgot what mode i used for the photos le... deleted them from the memory card once i transferred to the comp. but so far i mostly only played around with ISO. For the last 2 i used ISO 800. The first 3 i just set the scene to landscape and let the mode run auto.
what do u mean by cropping out the remaining part for the third one?

hmm not wise to change too much of ISO. as a very high ISO (i.e 800) will give you a very grainy effect. i dunno about olympus but canon is ok up till ISO 200.
even if you're shooting night scenary it doesn't mean you need a high ISO. well, unless you want that grainy effect on purpose.

as for the third pic, there's this vomiting merlion rite. vomiting out water mah, i think its nicer if the photo shows the flow of water as a whole, you know, like the water being vomited into the river... hahaha

some of the toughest picture to take is evening, dusk and night view photos. i'm not sure how much control you have over the shutter speed of your camera, but what you can do is take multiple photo of the same scenery using different setting. n always use a tripod.

my night shot photo in sg was sort of ruined coz i was lazy to bring a tripod along with me.

hehe.. read ur blog quite long liao. just never post comment nia.
