Humpty Dumbty
Humpty Dumbty walked down the slope
Humpty Dumbty had a great fall
All the King's horses and all the King's men
Couldn't put Dumbty together again

Humpty Dumbty went to wash wounds
Humpty Dumbty get a good dressing
But the Nurse in the Health and Wellness Centre
Say cannot touch water until Wednesday

Too bad has Humpty Dumbty no camera
For if so he would have taken some
And share with his peers in this entry.

Ist mir schuld daran?
Was für eine Welt ist dies?
Wirklich nichts weiß ich

Seit dem Anfang versuchte ich
Immer versuchte ich
um mich zu verbessern
und versuchte ich
und versuchte

Was für ein Ergebnis bekomme ich?
Beleidigung
Verrat
Direkte oder indirekte

Ist mir schuld daran?
Macht es mir gerecht werden?

Ich soll stolz auf mich sein
Weil alle was ich jetzt habe
Geschenke aus meinen Eltern sind

Mit mehre Selbstvertrauen
Muss ich haben
Niemandem ist schuld daran.

Niemandem.

Man of Letters - once again...
Well one might say that it is crazy to watch a performance twice, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with that. Went to watch Man of Letters again thanks to free tickets from DY! Really thanks a lot! So I watched the preview and the last show. Haha
Of course, the last show being the last, should be the best, or at least much much better than the preview show. Given such a short notice, they really performed professionally (duh.. they are professionals.. haha).
Anyway it was a good show la... suddenly lost of words to describe... maybe plain lazy... instantaneously los tthe moementum to blog. hahaa
nevermind la. will add more spices next round. Got some errands to run anyway.

Words of Wisdom
This is a letter from theForum page in the Staits Times on 26 April 2006. It is titled "Be kind to animals to mark Vesak Day. Remember what the Buddha teaches" by Dr Tan Chek Wee."

Some 2,600 years ago when the Buddha was traveling through the region of Kosala in India, he came across a group of people known as the Kalamas, to whom he gave a sermon that was recorded as the Kalama Sutra.
This was what he taught:
'Rely not on the teacher/person, but on the teaching. Rely not on the words of the teaching, but on the spirit of the words. Rely not on theory, but on experience.
'Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. Do not believe anything because it is spoken and rumoured by many.
'Do not believe in anything because it is written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and the benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.' "

So well said, isn't it? Well i think it is very beautifully said. Words of great wisdom indeed.

Man of Letters
Just realized that I have been extremely inactive in terms of blogging frequency ever since the onset of my end of 4th semester exams. Kinda lost some momentum but now trying to regain it.
Anyways, watched Man of Letters at UCC Hall today. It was only the preview show but it was already a full house. Could be because most of the tickets are given out free by the OSA?
The overall performance was pretty good. Though some hiccups are obvious but they are generally forgiveable i think. The casts were good, and most of them would sing well but some... hmmm should not comment too much :P since i m just an audience anyway. The Symphony Orchestra played well tho DY said there were screw ups. To me its fine la not so noticeable. hahah...

The story is about how an innocent love takes place in a setting of NUS in the 50s - where the people starts fighting for independence - all the way until the independence of Singapore (only one scene of it. Muahaha). And it took the girl 10 years to realize the love. The whole musical was filled with well written songs. Dick Lee is not that simple after all. Heh. Some pple just crap out the crazy idea of popping in front of him and sing like in Singapore Idol - a spoof la. Haha but imagine who would do that! eeek.... Luckily I am not interested in those Idol thingy. muahaha. Met Faith, Dawn and went with Kelvin (or is it Calvin? :P). Got the tix too early so was sitting at the very first row actually. Can see all the faces of the actors and actresses CLEARLY. The main actress is quite pretty with a beautiful voice. Got potential to become a superstar.

VoyAJe 2006
Just realized that I havent been blogging much nowadays. Guess its the after exam kinda thing... tend to blog more during exams but less after exams. Well am now at home after about 8 hours of total travelling time. Left hall at 6am last morning with 3 ladies and the journey all the way was pretty smooth. Reached KL at 12.45pm and home about 2.45pm. So nice to be home now pampered by food... hahaha

Anyway, went for VoyAJe 2006 - an annual concert by AJC Choir. This time performing as well - as a member of alumni choir. The supposed-to-form-in-2003-but-only-properly-formed-in-2006 Alumni Choir. Feel so glad to be part of AJ Choir again. Didn't realize how much I missed them until i sang with them. Thinking back of the years I spent with Choir in my JC life, really missed the time. They have made my JC life ever more fun and exciting! Used to be closer to them at one time than to my classmates. heh... so can imagine. Without Choir my JC life could be just another ordinary one.

Short People
Aihx... dunno what kind of person am I really.... supposed to be looking for part time jobs for side income but always end up doing something that is not gonna be paid. Sigh sometimes just disappointed with myself for thinking in such a pathetic way- all revolve around money only. Am I being too pragmatic?

Don't know. But I will be performing as Alumni Choir for my JC on the 11 May. Thereafter might join in the background chorus for the upcoming external musical written by the reknowned local songwriter Dick Lee - Man of Letters.

And my Special Semester 3 starts next Tuesday.

And I am supposed to move my room sometime next week.

What am I doing?

Sigh afterall I am just one of the despised short people.
